Il soggetto del video è ispirato ad una serie di corti di Tex Avery in cui il cane Sam e il lupo Ralph ricoprono i loro ruoli quotidianamente, timbrando il cartellino ogni mattina prima di entrare nei panni di loro stessi. Questo riferimento circolare ci è piaciuto molto e ci sembrava adatto a raccontare la vita di un uomo in un luogo ideale dove tutto sembra bello e perfetto, una “Città Paradiso” appunto, in cui tutti recitano un ruolo preciso. Abbiamo quindi provato a mostrare alcuni stereotipi dell’uomo adulto nella società contemporanea e la possibilità che, seppure in una società apparentemente perfetta e felice, con tutti gli agi e i privilegi, ci si possa sentire a disagio, nel posto o nel momento sbagliato. Come si esce allora da questa gabbia? Secondo noi provando a cambiare le cose o la nostra posizione nei loro confronti o, quantomeno, il nostro punto di vista su di esse. Questo è il viaggio breve dei protagonisti del video a cui abbiamo deciso di dare una seconda (e forse anche una terza) possibilità. – Andrea Sartori (regista)

KAMA È UN VERO E PROPRIO STORYTELLER DEI NOSTRI GIORNI CHE RIESCE AD UNIRE POESIA E IRONIA A MUSICA IMMEDIATA, CAPACE DI COINVOLGERE E CATTURARE L’ATTENZIONE DEL PUBBLICO, AFFRONTANDO TEMI PERSONALISSIMI MA CHE PARLANO DI TUTTI E A TUTTI.

“Un Signore Anch’io” è prodotto, arrangiato e in buona parte suonato dallo stesso Kama. Il disco è stato registrato presso l’Edac Studio di Fino Mornasco da Davide Lasala, navigando tra microfoni vintage, registratori a bobine, echi a nastro e tanta passione. Un album suonato, che rifugge i campionamenti, i suoni sintetici e che si affida al solo suono degli strumenti. Il disco vuole indagare con ironia e criticismo sul significato della fede, un invito a meditare sulle scelte individuali e sul significato di libertà.

KAMA è il nome d'arte che stava appresso ad un cappellino verde. Nato il 9 febbraio 1976.

Ha studiato percussioni al Conservatorio di Milano col maestro Franco Campioni. Polistrumentista, per oltre otto anni è autore, compositore e batterista degli Scigad, band milanese, con la quale suona in tutta Italia anche a fianco di Carmen Consoli, Afterhours, Bluvertigo e come supporter di BB King. Conclusa l’esperienza con gli Scigad collabora alla registrazione del disco e al tour di Fabrizio Coppola iniziando poi il progetto solista.

L’EP autoprodotto “Uno Specchio un Lavandino” ottiene ottime recensioni della critica fino ad apparire tra i vincitori del MEI Fest a Faenza nel 2003.

Nel 2005 firma per Eclectic Circus pubblicando il singolo "Ostello comunale" e poi l'album “Ho detto a tua mamma che fumi”, ottenendo un inaspettato successo di pubblico (oltre 5000 download e 2000 copie vendute). Partecipa come ospite a numerose trasmissioni televisive (con Paola Maugeri a Brand New, ad Extra con Illario ad All Music, con Bugo a Larsen in Rai) e inizia un tour in giro per l'Italia per oltre 100 date tra il 2006 e il 2007 anche come artista di apertura di tutti i concerti del tour “C'è gente che deve dormire” dei Marta sui Tubi.

Del disco pubblica tre singoli promossi con altrettanti videoclip in alta rotazione su Mtv e All Music: Ostello Comunale, Icaro, Sapore Sapido.

Sempre nel 2007 registra insieme a Bugo "L'abbigliamento di un fuochista" per un tributo allegato alla rivista Mucchio Selvaggio.

Nel 2008 firma un contratto per Sony Bmg pubblicando due singoli "Stupide Creature" e "Dimmelo" selezionato per le finali nazionali di Sanremo 59.

Nel 2016 esce “UN SIGNORE ANCH'IO, il secondo album anticipato dal video/singolo “Sentirsi come Robert De Niro”, presentatato in première esclusiva su Wired.

Calamite è il nuovo singolo tratto da “SIAMO TUTTI STANCHI”, il secondo album di Giorgieness in uscita il 20 ottobre 2017 per Woodworm/Audioglobe. Calamite è stato registrato, prodotto e mixato da Davide Lasala presso Edac Studio di Fino Mornasco (CO) e masterizzato da Giovanni Versari. 

Con il nuovo brano la cantautrice Giorgia D’Eraclea a capo dei suoi Giorgieness, prosegue il processo di crescita sia dal punto compositivo musicale che da quello delle parole. Un brano emblema del nuovo disco: aperto, diretto e pieno di suggestioni sonore e testuali, Calamite dimostra appieno la crescita e l’evoluzione fatta dalla band nell’ultimo anno e mezzo passato on the road (oltre 100 le date in poco più di un anno!) con il sorprendente debutto “La Giusta Distanza”.

“Siamo Tutti Stanchi” mostra una crescita compositiva che comunque fa rimanere Giorgieness nei territori del rock italiano, dove parole e musica hanno la stessa importanza e lo stesso peso all’interno delle canzoni. Poi c’è la voce di Giorgia D’Eraclea che è un piccolo miracolo pop-soul prestato al rock ed alle sue sfaccettature.

Una nuova sorpresa da quella che è una delle band alternative rock italiane poi attese al baratro del secondo album

“Siamo Tutti Stanchi” rappresenta un nuovo capitolo per la rock band lombarda che ha esordito lo scorso anno con il sorprendente album “La Giusta Distanza” (Woodworm): un perfetto equilibrio tra un'energia rock viscerale ed un sound più solido e maturo, alla costante ricerca di un nuovo spazio attraverso la voce e le armonie vocali di Giorgie d’Eraclea.

“Ho scelto questo titolo perchè ben rispecchia il periodo storico che stiamo vivendo: stanchezza fisica, stanchezza da occhiaie ma anche e soprattutto quella stanchezza mentale che nasce dalla paura del fallimento” – spiega Giorgie d’Eraclea, voce e leader della band. E continua: “Il disco è una sorta di ode alla fallibilità, intesa come tensione naturale all’errore, da cui, se si ha la voglia e la forza, si può imparare a distruggersi per poi ricostruirsi. Paura del fallimento inteso anche come timore del giudizio e soprattutto del senso di umiliazione che ne consegue”.

Giorgie d’Eraclea ha messo un piede nell’età adulta. A differenza del primo disco, dove raccontava e “urlava” ciò che stava vivendo in quel momento con la rabbia tipica dei 20 anni, ora, con la lucidità del ricordo, va oltre: “Il senso più profondo è di nuovo qualcosa di egoistico e privato, un discorso con me stessa per raccontarmi davvero quello che sento e come lo sento. Sono riuscita però a partire da esperienze personali per parlare di argomenti più ampi e temi sociali che non possono lasciarci indifferenti”.

Fan attenti sia al suono potente generato dalla band nei live, sia alle parole e alla voce di Giorgie che colpisce a testa-cuore-pancia di chi se la ritrova davanti “armata” di microfono!

Come il precedente, il disco è stato registrato, prodotto e mixato da Davide Lasala presso l’EDAC Studio a Fino Mornasco (CO), insieme a Andrea Fognini e masterizzato da Giovanni Versari

Nati agli inizi degli anni ’70 da Simon Jeffes, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra sono un curioso ensemble britannico che, tra suoni classici, folk ed atmosfere new age, 

hanno conquistato il mondo intero.

Dopo la morte del padre nel 1997, Arthur Jeffes ha riportato in vita l’iconico collettivo

dietro il nome di Penguin Cafe, senza ma allontanarsi dal concetto di “folklore immaginario”, come amava definirsi lo stesso Arthur.

Penguin Cafe sono tuttora attivi ed hanno recentemente pubblicato, lo scorso maggio,

"I was 17 when Simon Jeffes passed away and sadly I never got the chance to meet him whilst he was still walking this earth with his infamous Penguin Cafe Orchestra. There are some parallels between our lives that could simply be rationalised by the fact that anyone that loves music travels a lot. But from what I know about Simon we both seem to believe in something beyond that, something more magical that cannot be explained by numbers alone. For example, the fact that Kyoto had both a special impact on his and my life as the city where he found the harmonium on which he’d write his possibly most famous piece of music and the one where I found the love of my life. Or the fact that we both got severely poisoned by eating bad seafood in the south of France. Although admittedly I can’t say that my bed-bound days of hallucinations come anywhere close to the grandeur of his recurring vision; one of a George Orwell type of desolate future with people living in concrete buildings, hearing without listening, making love and music without touching. It was only the other day that I heard Simon’s son Arthur tell this story for a BBC documentary on the Erased Tapes tenth anniversary festivities inside one of London’s largest brutalist buildings, the Southbank Centre, and in a time when making music and love over the internet is seen as something perfectly normal. I wasn’t aware until then that our shared near-death experience in France propelled Simon to dream up a place called the Penguin Cafe, where penguins serve the Japanese soul food that is Okonomiyaki and wine that makes you feel lighter, float even — a colourful, magical place far away from those big grey buildings where everyone is neutral, numb and anonymous. And so he’d form the Penguin Cafe Orchestra and dedicate his life to writing the joyful music the band would play in that cafe.

The first song from Union Cafe that I’d unknowingly heard was Nothing Really Blue, performed live by Arthur and his successor band Penguin Cafe at the Barbican in summer 2016 — another icon in brutalist architecture. He simply announced it as “another one of my dad’s”, and left me wondering all night about which record it was from. Considering myself a decent collector of their music, I thought I’d heard it all. Well, I clearly hadn’t. Another mystery? I forgot to ask when I first met Arthur that night, but it marked the start of our relationship as kindred spirits. For everyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of witnessing it yet, hearing Arthur play his father’s songs with so much joy and gusto truly feels like meeting old friends. And it’s the most beautiful reminder of how everything in this world is connected. It’s one thing to accept growth and decay as a constant passing on of energy and knowledge, from one generation to the next. But I really can’t imagine the kind of love that Simon must feel if only he had the chance to see his son right now, performing his songs in front of thousands of people on both sides of the planet each night.

It wasn’t until summer 2017, a whole year later, that Arthur shared his father’s last studio recordings with me. Union Cafe is a record that somehow missed me, simply because it wasn’t available on vinyl like the other records were that I had gathered over the years. I couldn't help but feel privileged for the chance to discover another original PCO album. And so I put my headphones on and lay down at the foot of the small lake in Victoria Park to listen to this box of treasures. And as with all of Simon’s works, a whole world appeared in front of my closed eyelids — a world full of love and wonder, that manages to put tears in my eyes, shivers down my spine and a smile on my face. Scherzo And Trio would become the song that manages to brighten up my days, no matter how grey London sometimes gets. Organum would become the piece that Arthur played at my wedding. Cage Dead with its déjà vu-like character would become the theme song to a series of live sessions with artists from all around the world performing in the Sound Gallery, our new home on 174 Victoria Park Road. Songs like Silver Star Of Bologna and Kora Kora, just like all the classic PCO songs, would feel familiar, though I’d never heard them before. Lie Back And Think Of England sounded like the work of a seasoned composer and yet unfamiliar at the same time — it made me wonder if Simon was planning a new adventure for his orchestra. Lastly, Passing Through would remind me that having a hidden track on your album was very popular with bands in the 90s, but finishing your album with the sound of water dripping out of a sink, slowly forming a musical pattern within all the chaos before the record suddenly ends, surely must be the most perfect way to say goodbye.

And I like to think it’s simply down to the music that you left us, the songs that have become some of the best companions one could ask for, reminding us that there’s an alternative to the prison we’ve built ourselves. And that with every song I get one step closer to the magical world you’ve created, and that Arthur continues to create. I like to think that if I keep listening, maybe one day we will all unite in the Penguin Cafe, so I can tell you all about the wonderful son you and Emily have raised. And so I can thank you for all the love you’ve given this world.”– Robert Raths
