Dopo una pausa di cinque anni, Jesse Malin ritrova la sua carica
cantautoriale e, a distanza di sei mesi da New
York Before The War, annuncia oggi Outsiders, il nuovo album di studio,
l’ottavo, in uscita il 9 ottobre per
One Little Indian/Audioglobe.
Outsiders è
il frutto di notturne sessioni di registrazioni del cantautore in uno studio di
legno in Pennsylvania. Affiancato dal produttore Don DiLego e lontano da
qualsiasi aspettativa, il nuovo lavoro rappresenta la miglior forma espressiva
di Jesse Malin, che descrive Outsiders
come "a
record built out of optimism and disgust - one for the leavers, the
believers, the hustlers and the chicken hawks who could never catch us. “It’s autobiographical to the point where I even visit my own
funeral!” - continua Jesse Malin, ridendo – “We all made a deal to stay off the phone and the net during the
making of this record, and it felt good to just live in the moment - we just
let it roll.”
