Dopo aver trascorso gli ultimi mesi rinchiusi nel loro studio personale nel più profondo Devon (Cornovaglia, UK), THE COMPUTERS tornano il 27 novembre con il nuovo EP Want The News? Here’s The Blues, un assaggio del loro terzo album in studio previsto per la primavera del 2016. Want The News? Here’s The Blues si compone di 4 tracce prodotte e mixate da David McEwan (Plan B, Nitin Sawhney), che nascono da una miscela esplosiva di puro rock'n'roll mescolato a soul e blues, che prende forma con un piglio pop-punk talmente energico da far crollare club e piste da ballo. Il primo singolo estratto è la title-track Want The News? Here’s The Blues, che il front-man Al Kershaw descrive così: “The first line of this song states ‘times are hard, yes things are tough all over’ and they really are. I knew the feeling I wanted to project with this song. I knew it wasn't a love song....it was a life song. We have all felt the grind of day to day life/love & work so for better or worse that's what this song is about. You want the news, here's the blues”. Nell'EP troviamo anche gli altri due inediti Crucifixed On You e It’s Over You e la cover del classico dei Devo Whip It. Want The News? Here’s The Blues è il primo lavoro in studio registrato da THE COMPUTERS insieme ai nuovi componenti James Mattock (chitarra) e Tom McMahon (basso), che vanno ad unirsi ad Al Kershaw (voce), Aidan Sin (batteria) e Fred Ansell (tastiere).
THE COMPUTERS hanno pubblicato l'ultimo album in studio Love Triangles, Hate Squares nel 2013, grazie al quale hanno conquistato la critica mondiale e radio britanniche come BBC 1, BBC 6 ed XFM. La band ha tuttavia guadagnato gran parte del suo pubblico grazie alle energiche e travolgenti performance dal vivo, che li hanno portati in tour per tutta Europa e che nel 2013 li hanno fatti scegliere personalmente dai Die Toten Hosen per la loro tournée tedesca, conclusasi all'Esprit Stadium di Dusseldorf davanti a cinquantamila persone. In Italia il nuovo EP di THE COMPUTERS sta ottenendo un ottimo riscontro iniziale grazie soprattutto al singolo Want The News? Here’s The Blues, attualmente in programmazione sulle emittenti nazionali Virgin Radio, Radio Rai 1 e Radio Rai 2.
